The wine looks Ruby colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like and Strawberry Jam. It tastes like Strawberry Jam, and Black Pepper. The body is Medium/Full. The wine has Satin-like texture. The wine finishes Medium.

Light nose. Needs time to open.

Have let it sit until now. Opened the bottle, let it breath for about an hour. Opened up nicely. Really enjoyed this bottle.

Toasted nose. Big jammy fruit forward. Pepper, and chocolate. Long spicy finish.

Not overly complex but a nice mellow wine.

Blackberry, chocolate, cigar box and dark roses.Then a pronounced pine flavor kicks in and the chocolate note becomes more pronounced. Later it all comes together in a black forest cake note. The palate has this dense, greasy quality powered by the chocolate that I find in many of the higher end BC wines. From winery: This wine has aromas of dark black cherry, blackberry, and subtle notes of violet, tobacco, sweet vanilla and spicy oak. On the palate, the wine is rich, dark and brooding, with abundant silky tannins and bright natural acidity. The finish is soft and the flavours persist long after swallowing. Drink 2009 through 2015; possibly longer.

Needs more time in the bottle to reach full potential...but quite drinkable now. Will be getting more to put away...
