Plums and Christmas spice, the palate has plums and blackberry and pepper but the tannins are so drying....You’d have thought it would have resolved itself after 14 years...

Pleasant nose; good legs; Juicy-fruity with blackberries, vanilla and chocolate; a little tannic but will last (and improve) for several more years.

Without question the best $15 bottle of wine I've ever tasted. Saline, olive, beef broth flavors give way to tart fruit spectrum over the two hours we consumed this. Very nice

Gorgeous jewel-like color, not as purple as some southern Rhône wines. Excellent balance of fruit (cherries and strawberries) with layered tannins that come through at the finish. I was surprised to read it is 85% Grenache because the Syrah seems so present. A delicious mouthful, a bit chewy on the finish. At $16 a value. Next day, same impression: not Rhône-like at all. Modern style? Still tasty, in any case.

initially the syrah was very prominent. after an hour the flavors melded better and the light red berry flavors came through. A nice sipping wine.

Thursday Night 5 for $5 (The Grapevine - Pocatello, ID) : Medium ruby/garnet with moderate nose of dark dried fruit, a bit tight. Medium body with lively acid, high but soft tannins, and moderate cherry, plum, and oak on the palate. Very long finish. Balanced, spicy and smooth. Just a hint of hotness. Very nice.
