This may have a flaw, with hints of cream and barnyard, and a touch of perfume, followed by plum. The former flavours were a first for a Decoy wine. However, the flavors didn't have barnyard or cream, but mainly blueberry with a hint of vanilla. A significant difference from before when it had more prominent fruits.

Aromas of cherry candy, raspberry, plum and cedar. Palate was the same with some black olive at the end. Soft tannins with medium plus acidity.

Sour cherry out of the gate with medium to high acidity. Blueberries on the back end subtle tannins and a medium finish. Not a good match with tomato sauce as we found out.

Deep red-purple - attractive and bright. Initially a nose of sour-edged mint, then dark black fruits with a little sour cherry; nose-clearing. Ribena-like cassis with some good tannic structure and a sweet-sour finish with a little mint freshness later. Blackberries take over from blackcurrant later.

13.9% alcohol; this wine had been cellared upright for the last year and it showed in the dry composite cork, no aroma, with a maximum wine penetration of 3 mm; medium weight foil; color is essentially a dusky murky brown with a red/purple tinge; opened, vinturied, and tasted 30 minutes later at approximately 18 degrees C; faint nose of alcohol, stone fruit; full bodied, grapes & stone fruit, especially sweet/sour cherries, a little honey and vanilla, wood & earth; the …

Fruity soft Merlot that neither offend nor impresses. In the aromas dark fruits and vanilla. Med+ fruit, plums and dark cherries. Medium acidity, tannins and alcohol. Short simple pleasant finish. This I would serve for people that do not usually drink wine (or Merlot) and haven't got the slightest intention in begining to do so.

Great nose and medium + body. Flavor was deep with rich tones of cherry and blackberry. One if the best merlots I've had in years.

Medium-ruby color with ripe blackberry, blueberry, plum, sandalwood, dried herb, and medium-roast coffee bean aromas. On the palate, it's medium-bodied with vibrant acidity and dusty tannins with blackberry, blueberry, plum flavors with a hint of black cherry and dried herbs with a medium+ finish. 13.9% abv|SRP - $25. Very nice QPR on this one!

Not sure about the aging requirement from Sonoma. But since it’s 2018 I reckon 2 years is the min. Young and fruity and ready to drink. High acidity/alcohol and medium tannin create a slightly sweeter content but goes very well with my crispy roasted pork belly. Not much layer and depth. Hint of blackberry and some herb and perhaps slight hint of oak. Enjoyable overall and good QBR.
