Miolo, Family Vineyards Pinot Noir

By the glass at the BA lounge, not a fresh bottle. We had to try this again ( how many wines one gets to try from Brazil after all ) and indeed we were impressed once again and this wine feels very much old world. Soft, nice soft fruit, light smoky touches, well round and effortless . Really enjoyable and a very good 89 .

Easy modern pinot. Gentle berry compote. Tiny acidic zest. A little starch pastry. All in good order. Nice job BA Heathrow First Class T3 lounge.

By the glass at the BA lounge from a fresh bottle . Quite a surprise to have a wine from Brazil and this is a wine to serve blind to confuse the best of tasters. The nose is quite smoky, old world, light dark fruit, soft and elegant. The palate however is a touch short, lacks presence and energy.
