Nose: gunflint, sesame, cheese, jackfruit, guava Notes: 13.5% ABV. Drank from a magnum. This was consumed side by side with a magnum of the Clos du Cromin 2016 from the same Domaine. While this premier cru is a considerable step up to the Cromin but the underlying issue remains similar - a much stronger nose comparing to the palate. Incredible Puligny that remains hidden, and remains a gem. This wine is already very complete - not in a ripe sense, but in an overall balance sense. On a white Burgundy night, up against Dujac 1er, GC from Chablis, top Meursault , this punched up and above its weight. Simply beautiful drinking with wonderful length, minerality, texture and savouriness. I just wish I could afford more.
