I was looking for a PG that had some body to it - similar to one I used to get that Doc's doesn't carry anymore. This was perfect. It's got great mouthfeel/texture and is more substantial than many PG's.

Pale yellow color with excellent clarity. Bright, tart aromas of green apple and lemon. Racy green apple flavor dominates, with lemon and wet stone mineral notes. Leans acidic, but remains refreshing and quite tasty, with a hint of sugar on the palate.

Medium lemon in the glass. Primary fruit dominance on the nose - peach, apricot, lemon juice, yellow apple. Very well-balanced with a moderate acidity and alcohol. Pretty straightforward, no complexity, long finish. Well made and good representation of the grape.

Better than the last bottle which had a burnt rubber nose when we opened the bottle. This time the nose is straw with a light citrus. The wine has a distinct mineral note and crisp and very dry. Being near the Swiss Austrian border at altitude produces a very different wine than most Italian Pinot Grigios.

Lovely wine, made in a more Burgundian style, with stone fruit on the nose, some creaminess from partial malolactic fermentation and the right amount of acidity. A breath of fresh air amongst a plethora of pedestrian wines made form Pinot Grigio.

Tastes better than the nose which is burnt rubber. That disappears when tasting with a light mineral note and straw. Light and uncomplicated - it would be a summer patio wine.

Soft and smooth at first then gains angularity (great word) and some pop rocks fizz. Finish is sour lemon candy rounded out w wet rock, gravel? Alto adige can do no wrong

Light straw color. Mostly green apple and some citrus notes on the nose with a touch of blossom. The nose outshines the palate however as this doesn't have a lot of harmony for me. Acid is a bit sharp and flavors are muddled. Not much of a finish at all. It's a drinkable wine and was inexpensive but I think there are better wines out there, even in this price range.

A very pleasant Pinot Grigio. Crisp and clean with heavy apple and straw. Mineral notes on the finish. To me, one of the best Pinot Grigio's I have tasted.

First bottleNot as good as previous years-rather common without a lot of sharpness to it

Quaffable, but I wasn't wild about this first bottle. Not as crisp as I would expect from an Alto Adige - Südtirol Pinot Grigio. Will revisit and re-rate soon.

Pale, not much on the nose. Spritzig. On taste green apple, grape, gooseberry. Easy drinking. A few days later... no longer spritzig, less apple, buttery notes on first taste, delicious, but the after taste is more acidic.

Alto Adige is a magical land where Pinot Grigio reaches its most supreme form. In the hands of one of the great N. Italian cooperatives, at £9 this is a wonderful example. Must indulge in the region more. Nosel: Phenolic bitter apple core, slightly honeyed sweet red apple, cutting slate minerality. Pal - Attack of grape and freshly cut apple, exhilarating tension w/ high acid, more honey (RS?), lemon skin, faint ginger spice, something stem/herby. Smashable. Fin - Nicely bitter …

Now that is some good, dry extracted, powerful Pinot Grigio. Allot of salt and brine and minerality on that one.

Let me start by saying that I am not a Pinot Grigio consumer. A mouth filled citrus fruit flavor which is dominated by a backbone of acidity. Not as mineral driven as I expected. I enjoyed the short glass for this tasting but will likely not go back to it.

Nose: Apples, almond paste. Mouth: Consistent with the nose. Unlike other Pinot Grigios this one is bone-dry. I love it. Thanks to the right amount of acidity the wine is crisp. 13.5% alc. but not noticeable at all. Very good. When the wine has room temperature which is not the ideal drinking temperature there is an aroma of "Birnenschnaps" (pear liquor).

Nice pear and pea notes, quite surprisingly characterful for a pinot grigio.

As with most Pinot Grigio from Alto Adige this was decent, with medium body and acidity, a respectable finish , peach, pear and citrus on the nose. Good
