Crystalline ruby color. Raspberry, rose and forest floor aroma. Rich, ripe black cherry and muted cola flavors on the palate but with just a twinge of bitter astringency on an otherwise nice long finish.

A really wonderful wine with exceptional qualities. Beautiful color in the glass. The wine opened up nicely after being uncorked for about 2hrs. Ripe fruit on the nose with a just a faint hint of earthiness to balance it out. On the palate developed flavors of ripe cherry, cola, and perhaps a hint of licorice on the finish.

In the mouth there is a twinge of bitterness that reminds me of Arrogant Bastard Ale, leading to lush red fruits and a light heat on the finish that lends itself to it's 14.2% alcohol. While this was fun to drink now, it still needs …
