Tasted back in early December. Easily the best Savagnin I've had, even better than Labet Maceration. Tons of preserved lemons, bakery bread, allspice, calcium candy, yellow apples and Anjou pear with a hint of new leather. Super long finish, lasts for minutes with lingering tart fruit, acid and leesy effervescence. Drinks great now but I recommend opening between 2030 to 2040 for potential best showing of quality.

Fantastic classic Savagnin nose with sesame leaf and lemon zest. The palate is full and long—apples, toffee, ginger, and nectarine. A kaleidoscope. Simply amazing. I kept returning to it throughout the evening and it kept opening beautifully. I wish the owner had decanted it a day or two in advance. For those sitting on bottles: please wait 10 years. WOTN for me.

Great Ganevat savagnin nose. The palate is lacking just a bit of tension compared to his best wines though. But it does seem to gain some with air, so maybe this just needs age. It's not overly heavy and alcoholic like some 2020s. Check back in 3 years or so.

Agree with the review that this needs air. We slow ox'd it for around three hours, and it only seemed to improve over the course of the night. As another review said, it started with some yeast and reductive funk on the nose that blew off in 30 minutes. That was replaced by ripe apricots, blood orange, lemon zest, clove, star anise and salt. It smells potpourri-esque, with a medium + intensity of aromas. The palate is pretty similar, though …

This was a nice surprise for me, after being quite disappointed by one of his reds this blew my expectations out of the water. On the nose you get a slight reduction at first which blows off quick to unveil some really amazing tones of salted lemon but also some sweeter tones of confit lemon. There is also a nice perfume nose of herbs that follows it. The pallet was as intriguing, with the same notes mentioned above but with …

100% Savagnin Vert from various parcels, aged 4 years on the lees in the ouillé fashion. Not as aromatic as one would usually expect from Savagnin, instead showing a leaner, more mineral profile. Lots of signature salty brined lemon, but the sesame richness is hiding a bit. I'd wait a year or two before cracking into these.

Savagnin from different plots, aged in barrell for 4 years (ouillé), no sulphur. Medium-deep golden color. Super aromatic with notes of brownish apple, some citrus, white flowers, verveine, herbal notes, also nice minerality. There is medium+ body, some medium-high acidity that is adding superb freshness. Very good length and persistence on the finish. Beautiful.
