This wine was consumed while watching the EAGLES beat the Cowboys when Sequon Barkley entered the 2,000 rushing yard club. Decanted in a large Zalto Mystique decanter for approximately 1 hour at 55°F. Consumed out of Josephine No 3 stems. The color was very dark purple. The nose was of crushed flowers, crushed darker berries and spices. The palate was on the darker fruit side with blueberry and blackberry compote and brown spices. The wine is has good concetration and …

Amazing. At peak. Blueberry compote, raspberry, all dark fruit velvety tannins and not a rough edge. Started out a little high alcohol and cocktail but simmered down. Not quite SQN but nipping on the heels. Did well with Spanish food.

What started out as a wine with great potential on the first pop, began to decline over a few hours of consumption. Blackberry, purple plum, and black raspberry-driven, the core fruit profile was typical NoK, with initial silkier contours that distinguish it from SQN or TTT. But after a couple of hours, it became hot and boozy, with the fruit unable to keep up with the alcohol laced frame. Angular and somewhat abrasive by hours three and four. It never …

Pop and pour; a short decant would have been better to deepen the palate and blow off some of the mint/eucalyptus on the finish. With air, deep, dark, and silky as one would expect from SQN.

6 hour decant, tasted over 2 days. Balanced black currants, black raspberry, smoked kalua pig, spice, rich yet decadent. Savory till the last drop. 98+

Needs time. This was extremely reticent when opened. It needed a good amount of swirling and air to really come alive. Over the course of 30 minutes or so in the glass, it opened up beautifully. We had this without food and it probably could use a nice food to balance it out. Big and burly. Darker fruit, oak, dark spice. This is real bruiser but it is in balance.

Dark red. Minerals, spicy red fruits and cedar in the moderately robust nose upon opening. Very tart ripe cherries, the Grenache comes out strong early on. Cinnamon hits mid palate. Big flavors but not a heavy nor overly extracted wine.

Fruit is darker but less tannin than the SQN Raven, black raspberry, less tobacco, seems to be younger vines.

NoK Tasting : This was clearly opened way to early and even though we decanted it in advance it still had a very tightly knit structure which made the wine not really open up. The structure of the wine was however amazing and overall my impression is that this will evolve into a very impressive wine. The most impressive thing about the wine was the acidity and the minerals which both were stunning. This was my first experience with NoK …

Just drank this, haha just kidding, this is without a doubt the star of the day. George said, just picked up a bottle in NY city, $450. I hate parting with unopened wine but promised to share some next year. Back to the wine, WOW, its no longer just another SQN, this girl is delivering things to my palate I've never tasted before. Jorma is playing "Another man done gone", this wine is breaking new ground. Another sip, I'm trying …
