I scored three of these bottles for nearly free on a bulk buy from Underground Cellar. I have limited experience with well aged wines, particularly syrahs. There was lots of sediment on the side of the bottle so it seems to have been stored / kept well. Initially out of the decanter, it was a little funky, but after about an hour it really opened up. Drinking really nicely right now. Medium ruby color with just a hint of orange around the rim. A liite barnyard on the nose with oak, blackberry and cassis. Plum, pepper, black cherry and tea on the palate. Long leathery finish. Outstaning QPR for the $19 spent.

Wow. This was surprisingly good. Really good. Just a PnP on a Wednesday night and it was shining. Solid cork, beautiful dark color. Pure cassis on the nose and palate. If that's your jam then this is your wine. Drink now. Time to locate more.
