Perfumed floral aroma. Rich black fruit flavors with leafy overtones. Full finish with blackberry and cassis. This is a jewel, and drinking beautifully. Lord I miss these folks, but I wish them a long and blissful retirement.

The fruit is mostly gone and the vegetal notes others expressed (earth, leaves, perhaps bell pepper) are all that remained in my bottle. Kept it too long.

glou-glou. Fresh, honest and juicy.

2010 Clos Roche Blance (SoNo East Apartments - Chicago, IL) : Blend of cabernet franc and cot, and unsurprisingly, has that distinctive CRB aroma of earth, dark berries, and leaves. This bottle is a bit more smokey than some of the others I've had. One of the more honest wines from Touraine, it balances the rich dark fruits with the dash of earth/wet leaves. Sad that this is my last bottle of the 2010.

Finely tuned herbaceous nose with mint and lilacs, chokeberries and cassis, hints of plum stone and liquorice. Medium bodied and quite fleshy palate with refreshing acidity, gripping tannins, juicy dark berry fruit and seamless balance. Minerally stoniness and blue flowers towards the lengthy finish with astringency and meaty weight. Just beautiful. In perfect balance.

Another really nice bottle. Very floral nose with bits of roots and vegetal notes blended with red fruit, dried florals, and spice. The palate has a nicely acidic edge that turns the dark fruit and earth into a very refreshing package.

I like this one, I think it is best for drinking over the next year or so.

Last bottle :-( Good stuff though. An energetic, light bodied red full of Loire character. Lovely stuff.

Surprisingly dark-fruited and dark-hued, but still fresh and cutting per the house style.

Continues to impress. Love the character of this wine, especially for the price.

Good saturation of color. Green olives and menthol. Pleasing, medium weight, black fruit and not as much herbaceousness and green to it as the nose would suggest. Good, solid red Loire.

medium ruby/purple. Nose of bright red fruit, flowers, and herbs. A very round, incredibly lush, soft mouthfeel. Quite fruity with cab-franc vegetal/herbal notes. Quite light on structure, with low tannins and slightly less acid than preferable. A very nice drink-now wine.

Not as vibrant as I was expecting although still very pleasant to drink. Subtle red fruit into a dense palate which felt a little murky - wonder whether this was a poor bottle?

Funny that this wine used to scream Cot! and now it seems completely cab franc. Still lovely, but better for the first hour or so. Not sure what this means for longevity, but still very nice now.

Incredibly refreshing, pure and tasty. CRB never disappoints.

Medium intensity cherry red with purple rim. Medium intensity nose, raspberries, violets, lavender and lactic notes. Fruity attack, round, medium-low body, slightly astringent.

Wasn't as exciting as my previous bottles. The nose seemed a bit muted and the palate just wasn't expressive. It had floral tones and dark fruit, but none of the CRB earthiness that I was expecting. Not sure what to make of this!

Really pretty light bodied red. Floral nose with some herbal notes and clean dark fruit flavors. Not hugely structured but well balanced with a grippy, dry finish. Drank well over two nights. Not sure if it would go a third.

Herbal, berry fruit, slight green, strong acidity, strong minerality. Agree with below green seemed to subside with air. Really well balanced, realy enjoyable.

Much better showing this time, with cot aromatics matched to a firmly cab franc dominated palate.

Lovely aromatics of fresh dark fruited flavours, green herbal elements and a floral topnote. It's very light on its feet, a little soft by CRB standards without the bright acid spine I normally find, but still nicely balanced and very refreshing to drink.

Incredibly exotic on the nose with lavender, spices, and dark fruit. Palate was a bit hollow, but still provided me with a lot of pleasure.

A lot going on with a strongly cot-dominated nose. Palate has less - more austerity. More interesting than enjoyable to me at this point, I'll let these rest awhile (oh, and this just arrived today, so that may have affected the showing).
