Château Maris Minervois Savoir Vieillir

Dark red, in colour close to Gerard Bertrand On nose, bit of sweet herb, liquorice On taste, more blackcurrant but mixed with liquorice and herbs, rosemary. Smooth. Taste is almost medicinal. The most herby of the Maris tried to date.

Deep deep purple red, not much on the nose, more wood on the nose than fruit. Salty smell? On taste explosion of blackcurrant, sharp cherry, some wood, some tannin, delicious. Slightly sweet spice at the end, nutmeg?

Dens purple. Nose fresh raspberries and black fruit with vanilla (new world?). Thick and silky on the palate with raspberries, black fruit and a belt of pepper in the middles and a long long finish with hints of rhubarb and custard. Well balanced tannins. Delicious and good value. Will be interesting in 5 years time
