W.H. Smith Pinot Noir Bill and Joan's Special Selection

Yikes, only a year after my 93 rating it has exploded with Pinot Noir nose and flavor! What a treat to drink, kudos to Bill and Joan for a beautiful CA Pinot... compares to the best Kistlers of their golden age! 9/22/19 still loving it, a solid 95 with pasta. Not quite as powerful as a year ago, but maybe a bit more refined.

This is a nifty Pinot, lots of cherries and a long finish. Nice pinot nose, good color, and the taste is clean and crisp with a firm edge to it. I'm guessing this will be 95 in three years. It did, however, fade a bit after 2 1/2 hours.... best window seems to be 30 minutes to two hours.

A really nice wine with such a smooth, velvety texture and a great finish. Needs perhaps 30 mins to an hour to breathe when you open it.
