3rd and last bottle. This was better than the previous 2 but was still showing age. A little darker yellow color. Lower bead. A creamy wine with almond and bread notes. 87 points.

100% Grand Cru chardonnay from Tours-sur-Marne. Aged for 7-8 years before release. 2007 was not a strong vintage in Champagne. I've had almost a dozen Champagnes from this grower but this was the first time with this cuvee but my 2nd bottle. 50 cases imported. The first bottle was flawed. This bottle was better but showing some age. Medium yellow color. Creamier texture with ripe white fruit and biscuit notes. Lower acidity. 85 points.

1st bottle had a sherry profile and a low bead.

DG ??/20?? Open in the bottle (in the fridge) for a couple hours. Nose is oxidized, yeasty, preserved lemons, yellow plums, caramel. Palate is a bit sharp and acidic and less oxidized than the nose would suggest. Almonds, beach plums, fresh ginger and a slight mushroom note. More interest than a standard NV and has promise but not terribly exciting right now. I’d let my bottles rest if I had any more.

Gold color in the glass. Bruised summer fruit up front, round core with bread and chalk notes, tapers off quickly on decent acidity. Not bad, especially if you like some oxidation on your champagne... the shape made it the wrong wine for seafood.

Light gold color. Aromas of apricot, toasted bagel, honey, rich vanilla, spicy ginger. Plump yellow plum and apricot fruit on the palate, medium+ acidity, doughy and biscuit with vanilla and honey accents. I also get some floral, salty, enticing mineral notes. Not super deep or profound, but very nice.
