Enjoyed at Pluckemin Inn in NJ. Probably the best deal on the menu. Still needs a lot more time, but gave it a decant and then a lot of swirling. Lots of dark fruit, dark cherry, plum, with some dried herbs and spices. Tannins still pretty grippy, medium acidity. Enjoyed this a lot, would love to revisit in a few years. 91 points.

This had no brett/bricking as others noted and surprisingly drinkable from the jump. Served at a smoked-brisket-flat dinner with 2 other very good wines - a Carlisle Bedrock Zin and an Ogier Cote-du-Rhone. This bottle disappeared first. A lighter quotient of Northern Rhône pepper notes and charcoaly black fruit that finshed long.

Deep Ruby. Deep red and black fruits on the nose. Whiff of violets. Spice and a light notes of herbs. On the palate: Medium-full. Black cherry and cassis. Black pepper. Dried mint. Smoke. Minerals and cinnamon. Fresh. Nice structure. Tannins well resolved and just a medium grip now. Raspberry. Very nice length. This was much calmer and more open (enjoyable) on night 2 (still really liked it night 1, but needs air at this young age). So this is very …

Clear light medium red. Medium intense nose, black cherry, smoked meat, berry and spice. Dry balanced cherry, spice and broth flavours and a dry balanced red fruit finish. The future for this is bright but it will always be balanced and elegant.

Whoa, crazy wine. Upon opening, the barnyard and brett on the nose is quite strong. Eventually blows off but definitely still on the palate. Elegant, yet deceptively powerful. Flavors of dark plum, meat, smoke, chocolate and mocha. Very well put together wine. Nice journey with a long lasting finish.

I read several reviews saying this was tannic and needed a decant so I gave it a dbl vspin which was a mistake as the tannins were very chillaxed. Lots of fresh red raspberry, very little of the expected black pepper. Some violets. Enjoyable but not what I was expecting.

Ooo La Laaa... how many ways can I mistake a wine. I had an older Jasmin at Post Ranch, overlooking Big Sur, with Mom after Dad died. She had never seen the Pacific. Day 1... this was not that wine. And I was puzzled. Day 2.... I began to understand that given its youth, some patience is required, as it -began- to unfold Day 3.... maybe I will update this...

Classic and even open for a fairly young Côte-Rôtie. Bloody good body and excellent food wine.

After a four hour slow-ox. A wild, feral brute of a wine, unexpectedly, with a slight streak of green, with nothing in the way of finesse. Hugely tannic but not hard or undrinkable, good enough, just not my style of Cote Rotie, aspiring more towards Cornas. Didn't get much of a viognier note in the nose. An interesting wine.

Purple. Medium mouthfeel. Very long. Notes of violets, light iron and smoke. Cassis. A little white pepper. Tannins don't appear immediately. However there does feel to be a nicely light support structure that is well integrated and holds the whole thing together. Very lovely as usual. It is drinking, but for me is at the start of the window and I'm sure this will age really well. 92+ will improve

91+ pts

Pours a medium purple with magenta at the rim. N - fresh black plum, black cherry, black pepper, cured pork fat (guanciale?) fresh ground black pepper, purple flowers, hint of dried mint. P - blackberry, more cherry, ripe blueberry, tart plum skin, cinnamon, mixed peppercorn (plenty of pink). Burgundian structure, silky, persistent, upright, none of the tannins of a darker, stemmy northern rhone wine, though abundant texture. Could use a couple more years, even though it is delicious now. Very …

Cpncentrated nose of red cherries... Very light taste of red fruit, tannins a bit present, a bit short for it's pedigree...
