Certainly enjoyable with fully mature red and black cherry and earthy spice. Seemed more advanced than it should be from this vintage at this age.

So this wine continues to drink ok but I feel it could have been so much better. Fully mature, There is a wonderful sappyness to the mouth feel. The oak has receded to the background but I feel it took some complexity with it. Earthy with some spice. Could use a tad more fruit. Drink up. Good wine. (89)

Fairly light rose/ruby color. Nose has coffee, oak and red Pinot fruit. Quite lively palate - there is wonderful sappy fruit at this wine's core. The oak dressing is excessive and leaves the final glass with a drying finish - was silky up to that point. Drinking very well tonight, though I can see it going downhill from here (not immediately). Don't agree with its elevage, but the material here is fine. (90)

Super rockstar juice. Subtle barnyard and manure nose with dark fruit, dirt, and some spice. On the palate, the fruit is dark and soft, with some earthy secondary notes. Quite well balanced with resolved tannins. Finishes with deep crimson fruit, spice, spot on acid, dancing and lingering berries, mineral, and soft grape skin. Monthly Tasting Group: Blind Pinots Worldwide (Cafe Lurcat, Mpls, MN) : Dark rd color. PNP, drank 1 glass over 30 minutes plus. This was fairly complex offering nice red fruit, medium body, briar, oak, spice, earth and saline, somewhat firm tannins. Nice finish.

Head-turning village level here. Wet leaves, spice, on the nose. Deep and persistent. Cherry fruit, cocoa, spice, and almost stemmy (tough they de-stem) flavors linger alongside very present acid. Full of minerals and slighlty rustic, but flat out delicious. Could stand more time, too. Just starting to unfold. In a word, terrific.

Ruby red in color. Red cherry liquer, spices, wet-leaves and earth dominate the nose. A medium bodied and velvety palate follows through with sweet-tart red berry fruit, earth, light oak and a nice lavender perfumed finish.

Light ruby color that opens with a whiff of oak spice. Initially disjointed, it does well with an hour of airtime. Nose remains full and the robust palate has good concentration if a bit lacking in flavor elements. The acid is too much for its own good. Good wine, certainly above average village, but stylistically a bit heavy. Will be interesting to see how other bottles do with more age. A bit of a crap shoot. (86+?)

Nose: We clearly have an aging wine here. Wet earth, sous-bois, plum, sweet rasberry, lavender, cassis are all part of the complex bouquet of aromas. Palate: The palate did not disapoint the flashes of greatness we had on the nose.The palate kicks in with ripe dark fruits, and sous-bois. Black pepper and minreals come in the midpalate and the ending fills your mouth with earth, cassis, and milk chocolate. What a great 10 years old Nuits St-Georges this wine was. …

I enjoyed this with pasta with chicken and portobello mushrooms. Very powerfull nose with dark cherries, mushrooms and barn yard. In the mouth it is dominated by dark red fruit and a good acidity. It is very dark and powerfull Burgundy pinot noir. I really liked it and I find it excellent QPR. Should drink well for many years to come.

Yes very good, with nice mineral character, good fruit, nervousity. But, but it got overshadowed by the bolognese I had with it. It got over shadowed by the tartare I served with it, and it got overshadowed by anything I ate with it. It is not a great wine; it has charm and provides an interesting, but straightforward, amount of complexity. I wanted more depth and power. The length was good, but it needed to be more complex.

Wines with Chris Larson : Dark ruby red color. An excellent, expressive nose with dark cherries, baking spice and a toasted/smokey aroma. Really interesting. The initial taste is a very strong dark fruit and mineral, but by mid-palate this has started to fade and it is really clipped at the finish. Well balanced, and really a nice wine, but would need to finish stronger to merit a higher score.

Light ruby to faded pink/clear at rim. The nose is powerful with a combination of black cherry fruit, mushroom and oak. Right now the oak is a bit too much in front. The wine has very good verve with tart acidity balancing a fine core of fruit. I think this is a bit awkward today. Needs a couple of years to settle. I think it should prove to be very good with time - do not touch until 2012. (15+)
