Drank june 2025. Absolutely stunning: complex, powerful with tannins still clearly present. multilayered with endless finish. Seems to be at its peak now.

Absolutely balanced with amazing fruit of strawberries, black currant, soft spices of crushed, toasted black pepper, currant leaves and vanilla. Great drinking window now. Dense and confident, it has everything you want from a beautiful Napa red blend. Soft tannins and integrated acidity. Not too alcoholic. 95 for now, drink now, or hold for another 4-5 years.

A little heavy undecanted, should have opened this up in advance. Bold, rich, a little cough-mediciney and acidic. 91 on promise with more bottle age and a decant next time.

A light maroon and still young and a lighter body. Fresh and sharp nose with dark berries, oak and spices. Bordeaux like on the nose with a hint of sweetness. On the palette, it is obviously new world. Inky wonderful silky tannins and acidity and surprises with its weighty layer of flavours... Long finish. Wow this is good. Going to let it breathe a bit so it all rounds up together. 70% Merlot with 30% Cab Sauv This will go …

Tasted during virtual tasting with winery. Loads of plum on the nose. Initial taste was lots of dark fruits, cassis and a touch of herbal qualities. Very finessed wine. Not a huge, big chewy Napa wine. Very feminine. Low tannins and smooth finish. Not quite as complex or “chewy” ad we prefer.

A rich and intense wine enjoyed to a grilled beef. Aromas of black currant, black berru, Lots of eucalyptus/mint and a hint of green pepper. Dry, high acidity, high tannin, high alcohol, full body and high intensity. Needs more years in the bottle. Tasted against Hyde De Villaines Californio Syrah. In my opinion better than the extremely rich and too intense Syrah

Two hour decant. Deep dark ruby magenta, with only the slightest rim fade. Plum, fig, soy sauce, red apple peel, parchment paper and cinnamon streusel on the complex nose. Smooth, dry, full bodied palate, with tongue drying acidity. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish. Very nice Right Bank blend (70% Merlot and 30% CS), although there was some distracting tartness that prevented a higher score. This is probably beyond its peak for me.

Ripe style and bold per the '13 vintage - still young, and will be interesting to see how more aging may bring the finesse that is likely to emerge given the heritage.

Dry aged beef swinging on a hook in a butcher shop. Stewed blackberry. Don't wait another minute, this bottle is reaching for its coat at the door.

Unreal. Drank at Dominic's on NYE after cellaring for many years. Was absolutely worth the wait. A softness lent by the Merlot and great flavor from the Cab. This wine is full of dark fruit and the nose is mesmerizing. Silky and plush with low tannins. Drinking great now. Has another 2-3 years left. One of my top 5 wines of all time and I'm a Pinot guy!

Our first taste since 2011. No flaws. No sediment. Dark ruby/garnet color. Nose of dark flowers and fruits. Low tannin and acid. Low alcohol. Medium finish. Thinking it is at our just beyond peak. Plan to accelerate drinking window on the two we have left.

Well balanced, judicious oak and good fruit, mature notes of cedar and spice mesh nicely with plum, mocha and cherry pit. Nice acidity keeps things fresh, ripe medium grain tannins.

Second bottle seemed a little better than the first. TN's basically same. Lots of Merlot, fleshy good texture, and has good balance. Not a ton of fruit here though. More of a food wine, as it's not offering alot of nuance on it's own. Sale-rack special case filler bottle...

Deep crimson Red. Not a big nose, but lots of earthen nose and cherry. This is Merlot heavy, fleshy and ripe. Actually opened over an hour into a nice Red. Glad I got this on close-out, as $50+ full price would have been a disappointment. At half price I felt like a good deal.

Deceptively good. At first astringent but needs air (decant well in advance) and food. Black fruit, tannic with persistent finish.

Wow! Fruit still quite fresh and lush, gentle tannins and long finish. This was an incredible wine paired with grilled skirt steak and creamy polenta with mushrooms. Well worth seeking out more of this vintage (wish me luck)!

Loved the nose and liked the body - a nice speed date for the evening filled with wine. Merlot dominates and there is a fresh, bright, lighter than expected feel to the wine. Red fruited with nice tannins and acid - a food wine tonight.

14.5% alcohol. Opened three hours before drinking but not decanted. Cool-climate nose of meat, smoke, blue and black fruit, and also a hint of bell pepper. In the mouth, there is a tasty fruit component, but it's masked by high acidity and strong bitterness. Smooths out somewhat with air, but the bitterness lingers on the finish. B-

Young and slighty tannic on opening. Softened into a very nice young wine which went well with a New York strip steak. Will improve with several more years in the bottle.
