Popped and poured. Very serviceable mature bordeaux. A bit of black currant and tomato leaf along with some cedar. Similar flavors on the palate with a bit of wet forest floor but still has some black fruit. Medium acidity, tannin mostly resolved. Delivers for the price paid.

Surprisingly good for a petit chateau Bordeaux. Brightly fruited, with wild berry flavors and some mild but interesting notes of salinity and maybe cut herbs? Glad I bought some of this, drink in the near term.

Pretty good for $10: Lots of sediment. Very barnyard at first, and for the first 20 minutes or so. Very little tannin remaining, and at the far edge of drinkability (though it held up okay to the second night).

Nice value wine here and something to enjoy on a nondescript Tuesday at home!, simple nose, of black raspberries, dark chocolate hint of herbs, palate is quite smooth with tannins only really showing on the finish which was loaded with a fruit cake note

Dark chocolate is a dominant note here. It is still quite tannic, so there is harshness here. I expect it will improve a lot, probably coming into its own in about 2018. There is also a very lovely mocha coffee undertone, earth and tobacco, with a nice, if a little too elusive, dark cherry center. Exceptional value at about $20.

This offers aromas of cherries and tart berries along with some herbs and tobacco. On the palate it shows a very nice plush and silky texture and finishes up juicy. (Best 2013-2016) - December, 2012 (JD)
