An hour of decant and it’s good to go. Still delicious. Drink now because it’s only downhill from here.

Completely different experience from ’22. Dark fruit flavors. Lengthy finish. Rounded tannins with nice structure and acidity. Nicely done!

Drinking very well. Classic Napa fruit. Still good tannins on the finish.

Soft muted aromas, some red fruit flavor. Very little tannins. May be past time. Uneventful. Given the age of the wine, withheld rating. My score is 88.

Still quite good despite a problem with the cork. Strained and decanted it was still one of the best wines I have had.

Very deep ruby. Pronounced nose with aromas dominated by tar, dried black fruit, leather, coconut game, and resinous aromas. Fully developed wine. Palate is dry with high acidity. Medium plus fine tannins, medium alcohol, silky and refined body with pronounced flavors that mirror the aromas:leather, chocolate, charred wood, cooked plums and cherries. Finish is very satisfying and memorable. Excellent wine that is in its prime now. Can stay in the cellar for a fe

Decanted. Deep rich blackberry with oak hints and lingering leather. Throughly enjoyed and wish I had another bottle in the cellar.

Nick’s 26th b’day dinner. Served with Blackened grilled ahi tuna medallions seared on the outside and pink on the inside. Luscious rich deep gnarly old-school cab with dark fruit and almost a nutty dustiness, with a strong tannic grip holding it all together. Glad we have more as this tastes like it will grow even more refined and elegant. Y U M ! ! !

Has faded a little since our last bottle in 2015. Still really good, but a little less fruit than before. Would drink now.

I think this is on the downslope. Tannins softened out, nose a bit faint. Nice warm fruit on the palate.

Opened one hour early, aerated into glass. Really an excellent cab, still lots of fruit and still a little tannic. At least two or three years of high end drinking left in it.

A good wine, sometimes verging on excellent, featuring pure cherry and red currant fruit with nice Left Bank lead pencil character, but other moments it seems a bit muddled and pedestrian. Doesn't ever fully come together. But not worth the cost.

Perhaps a slightly off bottle - fruit was a bit flat and thin. Still pleasant, but was in the shade of the DeLille Harrison Hill that it was up against.

I like this wine. Fortis is always a great bottle of wine. Had with tenderloin. Big wine and great nose.

Reminded my of a 96 Ducru I drank recently - elegant and extremely well balanced. Not a showy wine, but just so well proportioned.

This wine is outstanding with food! Stand alone its great but a bit tight with still quite a bit of tannins but it opens up great in the glass and complements spicy food very well. Planning to finish the bottle tomorrow over some jalapeno burgers or lamb chops. Can't wait!

Quite a bit of crystals on the bottom of the cork due to wine not being fined on bottling. Aerated into decanter for several hours of breathing. Initial pour reveals dark ruby red in the glass with subtle spice and rich fruit notes on the nose - first sip indicates that aeration/decanting is indicated as tannins are quite bracing but not locked down. As the wine opens up, the fruits are balanced nicely by the spiciness held up by the …

VERY tight out of the bottle. Ran it through a Vinturi and it was still a bit tight. Let it sit in the glass and it opened up beautifully! Ran the rest through aerator into a decanter...deep ruby red in color; cherry on the nose; medium body, lots of fruit, still a bit tannic but has a sweet, peppery finish. Love it.

Drank while on heli ski trip. Had with Prime Rib and it was great. It fell between the Insignia and the Backus. Insignia winning the show. This was a great surprise, did not know that Pine Ridge had the ability to produce such a good wine. Very big and drinking perfectly.

Very nice Cali Cab, big oak, so if you don't like oak you won't like this wine. Had for Fathers day and Dad and wife loved it.

Columbia Gorge Tasting & 30 year old wines on my 30th birthday (Columbia Gorge and My House) : Nice mild fruit on the nose. Oak, and I swear there's some RS on this one... definitely something sweet, and there's a bit of alcohol coming through as well. Not really enjoyable.

Cathedral Ridge Winery Holiday Celebration (The Governor Hotel, Portland, OR) : Quite bold in style, reminding me of a Cali Cabernet. Pretty big tannins at the moment, so I'd lay this one down for another couple years. Tasty blackberry fruit and a lot of oak on the finish.
