Pinzale Brunello di Montalcino

Rather disappointing for a BdM. One does get Sangiovese-typical acidity and cherry nose & flavor, but that's pretty much it. Nose shows a little more oak influence compared to mouth, but overall I expected a little more (especially since it has 8y of age) although it's on the cheaper end of the spectrum for Brunello.

Recommended to me by a wine shop owner while in Firenze, and the label/bottle shape and thickness promised so much - alas it was not to be.. A bit watery. Not much fruit though a little better overnight. Can’t judge a book by the cover.
