Bounty Hunter Cabernet Sauvignon Jurisprudence

Spicy, elegant and VERY Napa Cab in the nose. Big and bold. Dark cherries, cassis, graphite and a touch of green herbs. Long finish. More dark red and spicy fruit. Showing well. Tannin are well integrated.

The last 10 months have benefitted this wine. Needed about an hour to soften up, but a very rich and velvety Napa cab. Textbook big Napa cab

Has really benefitted from the additional 3-4 years in the bottle. The tannins have mellowed considerably. Still very powerful and concentrated. Still with loads of dark blue and black fruit and a nice acid backbone. Still has time left to improve in the cellar.

Seems to be at an awkward stage right now. The fruits seemed very muted and tannins a bit rough. Flavors, aromas, and textures didn't seem in harmony. Opened bottle about an hour before serving.

This score is based on perceived potential because this is way too young to drink now. I knew it but really wanted to sample this wine, even though I knew it was too soon. Closed and a tannic monster now. Has acidity and backbone of black and blue fruit to age very well for 7-10 years. Now that I have tried it, I will wait until 2014 to try again!
