-- barrel sample -- – 100% Syrah from the Halter Ranch Vineyard – The third of three SVD Syrah’s Kaleidos will be offering from the ‘07 vintage, I find this to be just as well-built as the Lock Vineyard Syrah. The nose has very concentrated fruits and ample spiciness. The palate is tannic, but complex, with dark fruits and secondary notes of smoke. Garnet color of medium-deep depth. Just as good as the Lock Vineyard Syrah...I barely prefer the style …
