Opened into a very soft, fruit forward (plum and cherry) wine. Tannins are barely perceptible, and the structure is weak. However, the flavors are very pleasant.

Flavors of blackcurrant and rich spices. High in tannins and lower in acidity.

This is going in my value hall of fame. Nobody would blink an eye paying $40-$50 for this in a restaurant (which of course condemns so many restaurants who charge that for far inferior product). Bright and floral on the nose, red fruits and a dash of pepper in the glass, with some lively (medium-ish) acidity. Shoulda bought a case!
