Sunday @ my parents. Lovely nose, a lot of ripe forest fruits. The finish is a bit short, but not surprising seeing that it is just a village wine. But oh so drinkable (and affordable)!

Clear, ruby red with an orange rim. Clean nose, aromas of forest floor, wet leaves, red currants. Dry, medium plus bodied, high acid, medium plus tannins, medium plus tannins. Flavors of oak and cedar, earthy, great minerality, wet leaves, red cherries, red currants. Great flavor and consistency. Medium finish.

I enjoyed this one. A great example of the appellation. Wonderfully balance with bright red notes with good earthiness. If you like this, look into some of the 1ers.

Refreshing, lively wine with strawberry and mineral notes. Light and nimble on the palate. I didn't find this too oaky, unlike some other members. Very nicely done. Sometimes simplicity is a virtue; this is an example. Excellent value at $28.

California Wine Tasting Adventure; 8/2/2010-8/6/2010 (Napa, Sonoma) : From a 375ml. Nice nose of strawberry, fresh cherry and cranberry. Nice acidity. Clean. Mid-palate exhibited an earthier note, but this was heavy on the brighter red fruit. Nice finish.
