Yellow from rim to core with very little green tinge. Golden apple, some white grapefruit with notes of lemon curd and quince on the nose and attack. Distinct white pepper on the finish. An easy enough wine, but not exciting. Second wine of the dinner. 13.9% alc. With chipotle shrimp tostadas. 07.2425. Recommended.

Very nice, tasty -- I would have actually guessed a Viognier/semillon if I tasted blind!

I admit to being a lover of Carlisle wines, so perhaps this review is biased, but this is a fantastic wine. I brought it to Thanksgiving dinner at my cousin's house but did not taste it because there was a lot of wine and I limited myself to almost nothing since I was driving about 90 miles that night. Since more than half the bottle was unfinished, I recorked it and brought it hom. After two days in the refrigerator, …

2019 - Light yellow with a green tinged rim. White grapefruit, lemon curd and quince on the nose and attack. Some white pepper on the finish. A wine with more depth and complexity than Carlisle’s The Derivative. 13.6% alc. 2020 – More yellow than the 2019 and with almost no green tinge. Similar profile but with more apple notes and more minerality. This worthy of some down time to see how it might evolve. 13.9% alc. Both with tome, hollerhocker, …

TBD Fabulous Gruner. I think it could use another few years, add the las recent t bottle of this quaffed, was vintage 2013 ... And the age made it show very well. Fabulous, but opened a Drouhin Oregon Roserock Zephrine Pinot Noir with these Italian sausages, which was a better match that the GV. Will try again tomorrow. 2013 Superior... Age! PS- Drink The Rainbow!

Nose: Spiced apple, fresh air, gravel and minerals. Palate: Good acid levels contrast the plush apple qualities that abound. Love the "push/pull" between the richness and acidity. Finish is fairly lengthy. Very nice effort yet again from team Carlisle. Went great with a Thai chicken dish with extra curry.

Mike O. does a great job with Whites but is more famous for his reds. This wine was spectacular and the best non-Austrian GV I have had. Zippy!

What a marvelous, tasty version. Granny Smith apples, quince, white pineapple, and mineral for days. Long and viscous, with purity and form, with a lovely backend. So long. As the vines have aged, these wines show more true Grüner character. The 2020 whites have been truly special for Carlisle. Drink now - 2030.

A satisfying Gruner with good acidity, crisp fruit with good balance and nice finish. A nice change of pace.

Gruner Veltliner virgin! That's me. But, I'm gonna buy more, for sure! Mostly heard of this as an Austrian wine, but this Sonoma county sample has impressed from the first sip. Always searching for something to go with more vegetable filled dishes these days... Today was a chicken broccoli cheddar casserole dish. Have usually quaffed Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc, but this GV is likely more appropriate and appealing. GV 100% 13.9% abv Clear, Pale yellow/gold colour. ( I thought initially …

Nice acid and flavors. Went well with a chicken breast & rice casserole. I don't drink a lot of whites, so 89 is a pretty good score for me. I'm glad I bought and drank it. I would buy it again.

I liked this a lot. Fresh and med+ acidity , with apple / grassy flavors. A nice alternative to sauv blanc and Chardonnay for me

This is a surprisingly good wine consider all the Austrian versions of G-V. I liked its fruit to acid balance and a bit of sweetness that refreshes. Clean and well made. Nice aftertaste as well. Some solids remained in the bottom of the bottle which although unexpected, were no real distraction.

Found this to be a bit more generous and fruit forward than past vintages. Still with varietal acidity and raciness. Delicious and refreshing.

Agree with JMULL's TN. The 2020 vintage comes across as riper and bit more filled out. Nice balance of fruit, minerality and acid. Very enjoyable.
