Dark, purple/ruby colour. Savoury, nettle, bell pepper, and black currant nose. Dark and focused palate with a smoky, herbal finish. (tasted blind: this is the second Carmenere recently that I thought was a cool-climate Cabernet Franc. Called it a Chinon) 3.5/5

Touch reductive, followed by fresh, bright, and appealing nose of currant, cassis, and tangy black & red fruit, tobacco, and oak spice aromas of medium-high intensity. It's medium-full to full-bodied and dry on the well-structured palate with medium-firm tannins and very good acidity. Pleasing aroma replays come through on the flavour profile, while tobacco and savoury oak notes linger on the long and juicy finish.
