Good solid VNdM. It has smooth blended flavors with a nice tobacco in the middle and finish. Fine tight tannins on the finish

Gattavecchi's 2015 Nobile di Montepulciano is a deep ruby, medium-bodied wine that is packed with spicy fruit on both the nose and palate. A blend of 90% Sangiovese, 8% Canaiolo and 2% Colorino, it delivers aromas and flavors of holiday fruit cake, black cherries, black tea, incense and tobacco. Freshly acidic, seamlessly alcoholic (14%), judiciously oaked and with dusty tannins, it stays dense on the middle palate and finishes with good length. This is delicious now, but another year in …

Tried again 7 days later and enjoyed this much more. It had mellowed and was a glass of smooth drinking wine.

Young wine lacking complexity. Bright cherry nose and palate. Flavorful but simple. Decent table wine.

Intense red colour with smell of berries, prunes and mokka. Taste pretty much follow what you could smell initially. Lovely wine which requires rich food to accompany it.

I'm half way through a case of this wine this was the first bottle I enjoyed. It surprisingly needs allot of time out of the bottle before drinking. 87

Bright, intense ruby, vibrant, really captivating. Interesting nose - briary red fruit and slightly truffley. Good entry, plush fruit nicely countered by Italian acidity. Surprisingly good. Reasonable interest on the mid-palate. Positive finish but not particularly long. An excellent mid week bottle.

Trip to Italy 2006 (part 3); 6/16/2006-6/18/2006 : Fruit driven, with very little structured. Described by friends as grape juice. Easy to drink, but nothing special here.
