Planeta's pioneering Fiano in Sicily. Outspoken and assertive - perhaps overly so? Certainly needs food, and even for this 2020, time I'd say.

Greenish light yellow. Rich nose with green apples and some melon . Palate gives me pear, green apple, notable minerality. Full bodied, very nicely balanced acidity, slightly bitter ending. Long . Its a very good wine, but to be honest, Its not almost 400 NOK good

Loved this wine. Roasted pineapple, bitter lemon, great acidity while still having a good amount of richness and beautiful length. Unclear if this is typical for fiano (it’s my first), but as a white wine it was spot on: a mix of thrilling without being unctuous.

Straw and white flowers on the nose. Apple, lime, straw, some floral elements, and minerals on the palate. Medium body, high acid, moderate alcohol. Well balanced. Maybe a little bitter, but totally not a distraction. Finish is quite long and layered. Nice and refreshing with some complexity to it. Got better the longer it was in the glass. My only complaint with this wine is the big aromatics are not really there for a Fiano.

My second white wine from this winery, will definitely try more. Nice intense clear bright yellow color with shades of gold. Medium body, medium acidity, medium bitter sour ending, mineral & crispy. I prefer less bitterness. Mildly to vaguely aromatic, grass, apple, pear, lime, lemon, citrus. On the palate, nice mixture: pear, apple, peach, kiwi, pineapple, lemon, citrus, lime, stone and earthy. Asit is priced sovery high (more than 40 euros), not too great VFM. Still an enjoyable white wine. …

Moderate lemon in the glass. Shy nose, but shows some white flowers, lime rind, apricot. Medium-bodied, quite subtle, but has a lot of substance for aging. Will be interesting to see how this develops.
