As a whole the 2020 vintage is viewed skeptically with concern for smoke taint. SLWC had the resources to fly their grapes to WA for testing before taking the gamble to harvest and bottle. This is an outstanding wine - perfectly balanced fruit and tannins, making it drinkable now. And it’s so tempting to do so… but it has the legs to cellar further and be rewarded.
