Fiore Cabernet Franc

Decanted four hours. The texture very tannic and coarse, with a pervasive green stemminess. The oak masks whatever fruit is there. Opens up with a little time, but there's nothing worth waiting for. $15 Edit: Significantly better the second night. Still not all that good, but it's less harsh and the oak is showing more as a creamy vanilla. I'd stick this in the decanter for a few months.

Wines from National Wine Marketing Conference; 4/12/2010-4/15/2010 : Interesting. Oddly medicinal bitter notes which I liked - in a tasting amount - but are not going to appeal to many.

A very boring, oaky and lame wine for $30. Cab Franc? Merlot? Can't tell.
