Mazzocco Zinfandel Sullivan

Excellant. Held up very well. Full bodied, jammy and great bouquet. Wish we had more.

Surprisingly good considering we have found the Mazzocco zins do not hold up after five years. Enjoyed the strong flavors, jammiest. Wished we had another bottle.

Nice blackberry fruit and brambly flavors. Great accompaniment to winemaker Antoine Favero's marinated skirt steak recipe he sent to club members this past Memorial Day Weekend.

I agree with previous posters, it was good, but not nearly as good as most mazzocco zins. Best on first day. I would compare it to a $10 zin, not the $24 it cost. 84pts 3rd day- Wine was drinking much better, seemed better integrated, smoother, I was surprised at how much it improved over the second day.

Not the best Zin from Mazzocco but good. Little too hot for us which masks the fruit which is nice otherwise.

Corked. But taint wasn't too bad and still drank a couple of small glasses. Won't comment on nose for obvious reasons. My major impressions that may not be biased by the cork taint are powerful, powerful fruit and fire breathing heat. ABV on the label was 16.5% and it tasted like that or more. Was it the vintage that caused winery to make wine this alcoholic?
