Michel Issaly Domaine de la Ramaye Gaillac Les Cavaillès Bas

Quite geeky - decanted for 4 hours. Comes across as an orange wine and slightly oxidative on the nose...on the palate, strong notes of Apple Cider - reminds me of Radikon, yet there is still some stone and mineral and good acidity for '09 to provide some tension. Cool wine.

The Sampler Spring Tasting 2012 (London) : Interesting - if not the most inviting - nose: marmite and blue cheese rind. Palate more classic: quite floral with honey and peach. Concentrated but fresh.

Lightly honied nose. Quite complex - has a strong savoury note that's hard to pinpoint. Good balance. Long too. Interesting.
