Voluminous rich dark berry fruit. A fruit bomb and delightfully so. Still powerful and enjoyable for surely another 5 years or so, to experience this intensity. Even longer for a quieter elegance, I suspect

Shown during Caviste UK's Zoom tasting of "Old, Interesting and Fantastic" wines. I know this wine and the owner/winemakers Dennis Canute and his son Christian, we visited the winery a few years back. So it's a favourite of mine and it was interesting to compare this wine with some of the older vintages I've tasted. Dark blackcurrant colour. Rich and full nose, caramel, blackcurrant. A Zoom tasting, hosted by Caviste UK, with winemaker Christian Rusden online from the Barossa (at 3.30am in the morning!). Young looking, ruby colour. This has a huge blackcurrant nose, capsicum, it's heavnely to inhale! The palate is young, big, rich, spciy, menthol. It's great at the moment, but so young it must surely improve even further given 3-5 years. But you might not be able to wait!

straight out without airing, really light and sweet but as it settled, the cab characteristic came in, a strong presence of sweet and sour hawthorn.... seriously interesting
