Big, bold, hi alcohol 15.5% abv single vineyard Cab Sauv. Ripe blackberry, vanilla, plum, oak, baking spice. The alcohol level was really noticeable and unbalanced the wine.

Tasted and then decanted for ~2 hrs. Distinctive Oakville nose and a little bit of fruit on the palate but mostly gripping tannins present. Decanting did help open this up a bit. Enjoyable but wanting more from this based on previous wines from the Missouri Hopper Vineyard. Maybe needs more time in the bottle. Will wait a bit to open the next bottle.

Massive at open. Black in color. Will be interesting to see how this develops

Bold but very silky. We really liked this bottle.

Very dark almost black color that does not reflect light. This is a full body, bold cab. Hints of pepper and pencil shaving (graphite) to the nose. Medium acidity with dark berry and a hint of chocolate on the palate. Very strong tannins are present. Some heat (alcohol) on the backend with a long finish that exhibits some spice and vanilla.

Decanted for two hours. Very good intensity on nose and palate with tons of fruit (cherry), serious weight and depth of flavor, nice balance of acid/tannins, and long finish. While I slightly prefer the outstanding 2017 vintage of this wine, this is a really nice cabernet which needs plenty of air time before tasting. Day 2 Update: Finished the bottle - Still going strong, actually better with more depth. Time will definitely bring out the best of this wine.

Another good wine from Worlds End. Silky, complex and a good lingering finish. Nice accompaniment to a rare fatty ribeye.

Rough tannins initially but soften as time goes. Deep black fruit intensity. Minerality and herbaceous nose. Mild length on the finish. Dark cherry and bitter chocolate hints

Didn't have the luxury of decant this evening - as someone mentioned earlier, this bottle has longevity built in. Tannins are still strong and powerful 7 years in. As with most Napa 18's, I think it will take years to really open up or to even see what it develops into. Not as fruit forward as I would like in a wine, but it wasn't lacking either. Good wine, but would have been better paired with food. Not the world's …

This ‘18 ‘Crossfire’ from JCP Maltus stunned in tonights tasting as I haven’t looked too highly on this Napa experiment from Maltus but this bottle beat out some serious competition (Mascot & NapaNook). Longevity is clearly here but elegance and cohesiveness is serious. Fresh blackberry, pomegranate, slight vanilla, and just enough graphite to compare to Bordeaux. I scored this wine 94+ points.
