After a long week this really hit the spot. Classic Cali Pinot done the right way. Nice nose with bit of spice, raspberry primarily, extremely well balanced but with some heft. Ready to go on the pour but got better as it went along which wasn’t very long.

A surprise for me, much more of a serious pinot vs a quaffer. Very nice finish, which is the surprise. very well balanced. can probably keep for 10 years beyond vintage.

Really good and the bottle was gone way too fast. Nice acidity to go along with the darker red fruits. Has a bit of complexity with some earthiness or something that stands out from the fruit that I really like. Much preferred this to the Loring Gary's that I drank last night.

Pop and pour. Beautiful sweet nose. Raspberry, cherry and cola on the nose. Subltle red fruit on the palate with a little earthiness. Sufficient acidity to keep fruit present through the finsh. A well composed wine - but at a price where hat should be expected! Still drinking well for a 2008.

Chasseur makes excellent wines but still kind of flies under the radar. This is drinking very well right now. Lots of well balanced fruit and pure Pinot character.

The wine was fine but a bit disappointing. Not distinguishable, no real finish. I expected more. It's ok.

Very nice pinot here. Red fruits dominate and the spices compliment nicely. Good weight and silky tannins. Still a little disjointed, but I have to figure this will integrate nicely with time.

Classic high end cali Pinot. Cherry and deep spice on the nose. Same flavors when tasted. Marvelous deep and concentrated tones of clove, allspice and cherry. Finish is medium length - which is the only (small) issue I have with this wine. The flavor does not linger as long as I would like. Elite US Pinot goes in this order for me: 1. Donum, 2. Beaux Freres, 3. DuMol, 4. Lynmar, 5.Chasseur. They beat A.P. Vin, Bergstrom, Brewer Clifton, William …

Opened 1.5 hrs before tasting. Fresh raspberry and sweet floral notes. Earthy and clean. Red berries and rich fullness. I can't even place all the flavors as it's so well integrated. This is a really nice wine. Medium finish - the supple sweetness lingers for a long while. Well done. *EDIT* I forgot I already had a tasting note on this wine...good to see they're pretty similar!

Opened and poured 45 minutes before drinking. Some spice and pepper, raspberry. Very full; an all around mouthful. A very strong pinot.

Drank this delicious Pinot while cataloguing my cellar contents into cellar tracker! The wine is a beautiful crimson with slight fading at the edge. The nose delivers a semi-sweet cherry with a nuance of slate or minerality. On the palate, the medium bodied sweet fruit and firm yet ripe tannins give way to a gorgeous fruity mid-palate with a lingering finish reminiscent of tobacco leaf. This wine will go on for 5-7 more years in my humble opinion.

This bottle needed time open which it didn't get. It suffered because of it too. It could still use a year or three in the bottle before consumption and I'll wait on the next ones.

Tasted without decanting. A little heat on the nose with raspberry and some light spice. Really nice soft mouthfeel. Some bright cherry and oak, but should probably be opened for longer before tasting as it seems a little tight. Earthy grass and sweet summer strawberry lingers on the finish which seems to go on for minutes. This is a delicate, well constructed wine.
