This was fantastic. Big robust flavor. Chewy, and thick. Deep color. Great finish with a nice touch of pepper. Outstanding wine.

Pigs must be flying--this is a balanced Paso Robles wine! First ever! About half syrah with 25% ea zinfandel and merlot, the fruits are nicely delineated with appropriate acidity and tannins, no heat. Very nice.

Kudos again to Calcareous! This is a luscious, deep, leggy blend that kills most Napa offerings at twice the price. Green pepper, black pepper, earth, ripe black fruit dominate the nose, and the mouth is full of chewy phenols, palate-coating fruit & great balance.

This is a great spicy, earthy Paso blend. Bold, ripe red fruit that really zings with plenty of spice.

Huge aromatic nose and deep inky crimson. Juicy, ripe fruit - raspberry, blueberry, white pepper. Med-firm tannins forming a solid structure and a super long finish. Definitely reminiscent of the Prisoner-style Zin blends, but Paso Robles style. Drink or hold.

So well balanced. What a flavorful blend of some of my favorite wines. Just fills your mouth with explosive flavors. This is a unique blend from a great vintage.

All three of us tasting this wine, loved it. Great combination of the cherry flavors of Zin and the body of Syrah with the smoothness of Merlot. A truly unique blend of varietals, but honestly, these people that are hooked on single vineyard, single varietal, single vintage are nuts. Blends done well are just incredible.

The wine has medium acidity. It smells like blackberry and raspberry. The body is full. The wine finishes medium. The wine looks inky colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. The wine has polished texture. Fabulous!
