The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. It smells like blackberry. It tastes like prune. The body is medium. The wine finishes medium.

A big wine. Deep aromas of dark sour cherries, graphite, and a strong minerality. Flavors of black cherry and black tea. Great acidity throughout and bold gripping tannins on the back end. An amazing value at $10. ($10)

Walker Trade Show (Providence) : 10/30/09: Rusty red fruit. Soft and east going. Hints of olives. Simple, but well done and offers a good value. 86 9/15/09: Bright fruit. Easy drinking red. Good. 87

Popped and poured with Olive Garden takeout eggplant parm in Chattanooga. Unappealing nose of leather and fingernail polish with some dark fruit mixed in. The palate was much better than the nose with dark fruit and moderate acidity. No finish to speak of. Once you get past the nose, the taste was not too bad. A good food wine.

Spanish Wine Tasting At Renaissance Wines (Renaissance Premium Wines and Cigars, Orenco Station, Oregon) : Fruity nose here, with lots of cranberries and strawberries as well as a dark cigar smell lurking in the background. The wine delivers some solid blackberry flavors backed by nice oak. Some dried plums make an appearance as well, and the tannins contribute nicely to the overall experience.

Nice purple-ruby with red highlights, going to clear at the edges. Nose of dark berries, leather, and tar. Tart but bland cranberry/cherry flavors, woody tannins, and a shortish, slightly bitter finish. Drinkable, but you get what you pay for, which wasn't much. 2nd night: Its a lot better tonight - smoother, more cherries, and the bitterness is gone. Maybe I should have venturied it last night. 87

Slightly/moderately heat damaged: moldy burnt rubber on the nose. After it aerates 30-60min it turned into a decent baked fruit juicy wine. No score.

Pretty, dark color. I get a nose of bright fruit, smoke, tobacco, and a little floral action. Nice dark fruit on the palate with a hint of cedar box. Has decent body and structure. A bit lacking in the mid-palate but recovers with firm tannins and juicy finish. Nice QPR for $9.

Dark ruby, purple. Nose of dark fruits, iron, some smoke, some acetone. Fruity initial palate with plum, blackberry, meat, followed by tar. Decent tannins except for some bitterness in the finish. Great wine for less than $9.

for a sub $10 wine, great qpr. bright fruit, good structure, and easy to drink now. acidity may be a little less than ideal, but had with a roast pork loin and it worked about as well as i expected.
