not bad, good fresh red berries, nice color and freshness but the wine is very flat, doesn't show much on the palate, with just a bit of power or length the wine would be good... Served chilled a bit, might be a nice refresher for summer ... still ok

Beautiful light color and very see-through! Lovely notes of strawberry, raspberry, cherry, earthy notes, vanilla and a good punch of oak. High acidity and very dry but at the same time light and smooth in the mouth. High minerality from the beautiful Mosel area and good deep complexity and structure in the wine.

Oenocosmos Wine Fair (Intercontinental Hotel) : Pale red in the color. The nose shows light red cherry, toasted oak, cherry red, light to med body, soft tannins, roasted almond, short to med finish.

An interesting marriage of autumnal fruit, ripe but fresh acidity, remarkably cool minerality, stalky grip and slightly resinous smoky oak. Very nice, but there is no real synthesis, and the finish is distinctly on the dry side. An underwhelming performance for a great year like 2009. On the terrace at Hotel Weingut Weis, Mertesdorf, Germany.

No proper notes - needs time, a bit hard on the oak right now, but it has great potential. Acidity, concentration and intensity is all there, hope for more complexity after some years. 91-92p

This one was initially a bit odd but came around in a big way. To begin with the nose was quite mineralistic and a tad sour. However give it some time to develop both in the decanter and by swirling in the glass and it shreds the sour taste and opens up to display nice fruit, some liquorice, smoke. Still, compared to Burgundy (stylish, finesse) and California (warm, fuzzy) Pinot Noir I would have to label German Pinot (or Spätburgunder) …

Pinots of The World, Le Petit Sommelier, Athens. Light ruby fading to garnet. Exuberant fruit, sweet cherries, raspberries, bordering on being stewed. Very slight earth, sweet herbs and red flowers. Medium body, soft tannins, medium acidity. Sweet spice on the palate making whoopee with the rich fruit. Long finish with a mineral stony edge.

Pinot Noir from around the world (Petit Sommelier Restaurant) : Medium intensity of aromas on the nose: red fruit and jammy strawberry along with boiled cabbage and some green herbaceous aromas. Cool climate and elegant yet palate is quite round with ample fruit. Acidity is not more than medium and fruit is slightly underripe despite roundness of mouthfeel. There is a spicy peppery note balancing with sweeter flavours. Slightly green are the tannins as well. Not a bad Pinot, slighlty …
