Sogrape, Morgadio Torre Alvarinho, Vinho Verde

Medium yellow color wine with some residual sugar notes and light ripe fruit notes. Pairs well with good.

Both the nose and on the palate their was a fino like quality that was not expected and not really enjoyed. This wine may be too old for this style or perhaps tainted.

Citrus, stone fruit nose that carries through on the palate.Higher alcohol content than most vinho verde extends its length in the mouth.Nothing "sticks" out making it an excellent match with delicately flavored fish.

Drank at g.e. (www.gastronaughties.com). Good drop, good price , nice start to the dinner as the food almost demands something light, fruity and fresh. Yippeee for the Portuguese as we are quite happy to sip a "fun" wine that is not over-acidic like Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc at this price!!! Sent a glass to the Chef, which was far too big a sip, but such was the waiter's "bad" decision.

Recommended by my wine consultant. new to me ... Like a Chardonay and Resieling combined .... Enjoyed and good QPR
