Fantastic Chenin, tastad as a good Meursault! Drank to lunch at Restaurants Attis together with Gaspard Brochet and his wife

Concentrated and rather solar. The oak was prominent on first glass but stayed under control with a touch of air. Dense yet mineral, I personally found the acids were a touch deceiving (especially after a Meursault) for a 2022 somehow. I’d revisit in a year or two - but retail price and volume makes it hard to go back to sadly.

Académie des Cinquante Anjou / Muscadet visit; 10/1/2025-10/3/2025 : Parcellaire from Chaume. Fermented and aged for a year in new 500 litre barrels, with a further year in amphora. Malo complete. The oak is quite visible but this improves slightly with oxygen, concentrated and solaire in keeping with the vintage, the acidity is a bit sharp on the finish and the oak feels a bit resinous. Not sure about this. Cautious score.
