Dilecta Pig G2/Brecon

So this wine has impressive weight and fruit but it is not singing to me, the Petite Verdot and Cab are adding important elements but they make it plodding, not nimble. Whereas my wife, the cab freak, would rate this 93.

Deep, dark color. Medium bodied. Blue fruit, currant. Smooth, velvety finish.

Decanted 30 minutes, and it continued to open over the next few hours. Dark fruit and floral aromas. Generous fresh blackberry, black cherry flesh, and a hint of mint chewing gum. Ends with ripe blackberry, medium ++ acidity, and some spiciness. Chalky tannins. Excellent blend: ordered two more bottles this morning.
