Round and creamy, right sweetness-acidity balance for the pradikat level without being exciting.

Visual: golden yellow, slightly viscous. Nose: gout-de-petrol hits you right away together with exotic fruits (mango/pineapple) and some caramel. In the back vanilla and distinct botrytis (much milder compared to 2011) that add the richness to this wine. Taste: perfect balance between richness and sugar levels. Additionally, it is the high acidity that provides this balance as well as a green apple type freshness. Clearly, the 2010 offers more acidity to counter the sweetness compared to a 2011. Overall: fantastic …

AP16-11 from a 0,375l. Fantastic acidity, loads of peppery spice, deeply fruited core, pineapple-mago-passionfruit sherbet, orangepeel shavings. Dense and concentrated, almost BA in style. Very impressive. Just a perfect accompaniment for a big chunk of foie.

From Coravin. Clotted cream, slight butter, marzipan, ripe orchard fruit, smells luscious. with time a little toasty note. And so it proves on the palate - quite luscious with similar flavours enhanced by a touch of cream cheese. Finishes a little short but very nice.

Christmas Day 2019 (My place, Kent Street) : From Coravin. Quite rich; all apple and baking spice on the nose and palate, off-dry but with freshening acidity. Lovely.

Coravin fun - Readiness to drink (Kennards, Waterloo) : From Coravin. Slight marzipan/almond under orchard fruit especially apples and a little cinnamon. Positively strudel minus the pastry on the palate. Off dry, quite sweet whilst still retaining sufficient acidity to counter the lozenge like apply quality. Yum but time for me

Delicate, if not a bit introvert nose. Slightly unclean. Not memorable. Palate delciious with a pretty wicked acidity that needs time to integrate with the sweetness.

Golden. A heavy nose, diesel and fruit. Viscous/luscious texture. Honeyed attack, giving way orange blossom, and finally prune. Still too young.

Light gold color. Young-ish nose, apples and honey, touch of sulphur hanging on. A little drier than anticipated. Dang, caught this one too young, it's neither vivacious of fruit nor offering secondary charms. Bottle #1 of two.

On the nose, clearly defined tropical fruit, with papaya and mango, as well as flinty minerality. In the mouth, it's clearly not as sweet as it smells but has wonderful acidity. The finish is smooth and relatively long. A very good wine enjoyed on a snowy winter afternoon.

Lemon on the nose. A more fruity wine than the Goldtropfchen GG with brighter lemon, but is also less mineral than that wine. There is hint of pineapple and some bitterness. A very good wine!

Have always loved Reinhold Haart Goldtropfchens, however, this was still very young for Auslese and a bit too fatty - the body, the sweetness and acidity were a bit out of balance. I love the sweetness side covered by big acidity in my favourit Ausleses. Well, anyway, this is an excellent wine for the money and can be an excellent evening supplement. Sipped it alongside watching Inglorious Bastards.:-) Cheers!

Matchstick, spice and orange peel on the nose. Medium intesity sweetness is balanced by exceptional acid structure and great depth of flavour. This is seriously superb.

Grosser Ring Tasting of 2007 wines from the Nahe, Mosel, Saar and Ruwer (German Embassy, London) : An ungiving nose. Quite green. There's something odd about it. Not terribly exciting. All pretty correct, but a bit on the dull side.
