Spier Sauvignon Blanc Seaward

Bottled under screwcap, this wine was opened and serially tasted over the ensuing two hours. Limpid, light yellow and without reductive notes upon opening, it is immediately expressive of clementines, white peaches, ginger, bay leaf and wet stones. Light-bodied, crisply acidic and with seamless alcohol (listed as 13.5%), it stays vibrant on the mid-palate and finishes with medium length. An excellent wine for the summer and with light fare, this is one to be consumed in its youth. Drink now-2022.
