Syrah/Shiraz tasting @ my place (Netherlands) : Purple red, black core. Gruesome bouquet, frigthening. Was a little bit afraid to taste, I have to admit... Chemical, volatile, cranberries maybe? Overripe, even rotting fruit, cabbage. After a while this wine shows vinegar and gherkin. Brother D. hitted the bulls-eye: this juice smells like PICCALILLI! Will never ever forget this bouquet.
