Starling Castle Riesling

A little on the simple side. Not really terrible, but not very expressive. There is not quite enough fruit to balance out some considerable, raw malic acid. Shows it's German roots with a touch of wet stone minerality. Not as viscous as most German offerings. Some pineapple and peach with lemon fruit. Very raw unripe green apple skin acidity. Almost totally dry. A touch of spiciness on the finish.
