Ready to go. This is a fresh and juicy Cornas, red-fruited and easygoing, not a terribly serious wine but a fine companion with dinner. The edges have smoothed with cellaring and everything that there ever was is here on display. Drink now.

Drinking well - not many signs of age. Not sure if it will improve much - solid

Last had this wine about 2.5 yrs ago. Lovely evolution, mildly showing a bit of sur maturité stewed notes as the wine gains more bottle age, but not to the detriment of the overall experience. Black cassis and cherry fruits, alongside creosote and pepper, and perhaps a sanguine or meatiness. Anise, and a hint of mint, leads into a rather full and voluptuous mouthfeel, showing off rounded tannins and a level of rustcity. A long and complex finish, this wine …

Cedar and cherry on the nose and up front, moves smoothly and quickly into a mid-level core with earth, barnyard funk and mint, finish is long on some acidity but mostly tannin, a chew that keeps on going. Awake on day 1, funkier on day 2, most of the funk had blown off by day 3.

In a great place here - smoke, game, bacon fat, iron, blood - solid mid-palate and long finish - lovely Cornas and drinking well and plenty of life ahead.

Solid development here, this time the bouquet has extreme cassis, now in its drinking window.

Tasty Cornas, enjoyed this wine with grilled ribeye's this evening, and it was a gorgeous match. Blackberry fruit, brambly and wild, with a hint of raspberry, over black pepper, maybe olives, potting soil, and anise. Nice presence on the mid palate, showing supportive acidity and finely grained tannins on the medium length finish. Drink through 2024 or so, delicious.

Dumien-Serrette is a relatively new discovery for me, but with the prices of the other Cornas producers I've been buying for years reaching the stratosphere, it's time to look for other options in the "traditional" camp. I've sampled a few vintages ('15 and now this '12) ,and thus far, I've been impressed. This has a lovely gamey Cornas nose, accented by some herbal anise seed and saddle leather notes. There are bright, red-fruited undertones--currant and red plum--to go with the …

No formal note but was perfect w/ braised lamb shanks. Loved the nose - acidity was just uplifting and carried the wine - soft tannins. Loved it.

Similar to last tasting note. Fresh, full-bodied, juicy. Very good indeed.

Just love this winery. Bouquet of cherries, some dark chocolate and chalk. The wine is full-bodied and smooth with enough acidity to stay in balance. Probably not the most complex and spicy Cornas, but cleanly made. If you need barnyard funk, you need to go somewhere else.

Dumien-Serrette (RSJ, London) : Bright raspberry and redcurrant fruit. Fresh, good acidity. More approachable now with the acid spine for some cellaring. Still a faint whiff of rubber. **(**)

What an incredible bouquet, showing burly red and black fruits, spice and exotic floral tones with a slight herbal lift. On the palate, I found silky textures contrasted by mouthwatering acidity as red fruits and minerals gave way to an earthy display of dark soil and inner floral tones. It was focused, juicy and truly satisfying through the long finish as a mix of rosy floral tones and wild berries lingered.

This is going to be very good. This is closing up for business. Austere elegant fruit with huge stucture. Very much northern Rhone Syrah nose..black pomegranate fruit with florals and minerality all held in place with a cloak of acidity. I am glad I have more bottles.

Too young to rate. Primary. Fruity, moderate extraction st best, moderate acidity. Will see if this comes around in a few years.

I drank this way too early, but have 5 more bottles. Will open the next one in 2017 or thereabouts - or if someone tells me differently.
