I really like this wine, and it has a good QPR to boot. I can't add anything to my prior tasting note: "This is a balanced and well-made California Cabernet, particularly at this price point. It has a nice cherry and cassis fruit note up front, with moderate oak and tannins, and is not an over the top fruit bomb. This is a balanced and well-made California Cabernet, particularly at this price point. It has a nice cherry and cassis fruit note up front, with moderate oak and tannins, and is not an over the top fruit bomb. Given its more subdued nature, I wouldn't pair it with lamb or a heavy steak, but something more subtle. Or just enjoy it by itself. It is drinking well now. 14.5% alcohol.

liked it, didn't love it, but likely needs more time in the bottle. A decent taste up front but a bit of a bite-back on the mid palette and back end. Intense fruit right out of the bottle and you can't beat the price. Well worth the purchase.

Had this the same night as the pillar rock and it was just not as good. I still really enjoyed it. It had not as intense fruit and had some saddle leather and cassis. I thought this was a nice wine but with our steaks it did not hold up as well as the Pillar Rock.

Superb wine for the $$. From the moment you open the bottle, you know how good the fruit is. Yet I wouldn't call it fruit-forward, exactly. Deep dark fruit, oak, vanilla, a little chocolate or coffee, a little cedar. All beautifully balanced, and the tannins are nicely under control. Long, delicious finish.
