still a beautiful wine be at end of drinking window. Cherry, earth and cola. Beautiful Pinot.

Very nice, especially after an hour in the glass. But something very American about the taste - would not be confused with a Burgundy. A kind of tinniness, almost a bit acrid. Still, a very nice wine, and clearly ready to drink - my wife is raving about it. Glad I still have five bottles in the cellar.

Oregon Pinot glass- 2 hour decant over 3 hours. Big and lush with some very savory earthy tones. Loads of fruit and herbal notes, though really feels round and big in the mouth. Certain to please many palates, but not my stylistic preference.

Very tasty and rich. More like a burgandy quite earthy

Excellent! The word that characterizes this wine for me is “savory.” It was a cool vintage so the wine has plenty of salinity, cranberry notes, some acidity. But upon opening I was immediately struck by the richness of the Pinot aromas and length on the finish. This was well-made.

Nose was full immediately upon opening. Very vibrant, full of fruit like plum flavors.

Robe ambrée pâle. Sur la cerise, les fruits rouges, fumé et un petit côté vert. Assez léger, manque même de corps, surtout à ce prix. Assez déçu, surtout pour un des meilleurs pinots classés dans le top 100 du WS.

Decent enough but seemed kinda flat with fruit taking the backseat. Maybe that's the idea on these but didn't suit my style feeling its on downside of window. Came from a well cellared bottle since release.

Definitely some secondary development in the color, mid-palate and finish. Not overly complex but tasty and very drinkable with our dinner of root vegetable soup and stinky cheese. That said, I think it’s unlikely to improve with age: drink up.

One of the nicest Bergstroms I've had in a while. Why does he do so well in lesser vintages? 30' decant, open nose: red fruit spice, tar, mocha, florals, forest floor, and a touch of cola. Silky on the palate. Now-2023.

Decanted >1 hour and drank over a 10 hour period (magnum). Luscious red fruit with lite floral notes as well as vanilla and a very slight fragrance of smoked meat. Nice juice in the mouth, a medium bodied Pinot. Mild tannins and a wonderful finish. The 13 is in a nice drinking window right now.

Delicate and complex. Brambly, spicy. Continued to evolve as we drank it. I'd honestly put it on par with some GC Burg. I don't see any reason to hold any longer.

Shows dark cherry and meat/blood rustic notes, a hint of blueberry also showing-up on the palate. Enough structure for another 3-4 yrs in the cellar.

Drank this last night. Star of the evening. Smoky, earthy, licorice, spice, and ripe fruits shine. Gorgeous. Deep in a way that works on a historically hot summer day.

Upon pop and pour, this pinot featured a primary cranberry note, red cherries and underlying herbs with some astringency on the finish. On day 2, this gained some weight and had a dark cherry and spice profile. Overall, a bit simple but in a good place to enjoy now.

Not sure I have ever had a better Pinot Noir. Perfect harmony of cherry fruit, mild cola, earth, tea, and tannin. Was exactly what I would want in a Pinot Noir. Rating may appear a little high relative to others but consistent with Wine Spectator.

Enjoyed during a tasting of global Pinot. Showed with more fruit and sweetness than any Burgs. Solid showing amidst high quality Sonoma Coast and Burgundy examples, though also not a standout.

This from a guy who has liked Bergstrom in the past (see bottles in my cellar if you like), likes pinot in the 5-7 year window, and has a decent cooling system. I also got off JB's club a year or two ago for expensive wines that don't improve, so now you know my bias. I was hoping for better here and it didn't happen. Decanted for an hour for Turkey Day, the nose is open with dark cherry, earth, …

Nice ripe red fruits, but with complex spice and tobacco notes as well. Lots of depth here throughout. Great with a smoked turkey. Bergstrom never disappoints in our house... Probably would continue to improve with age, but enjoyed very much.

Brilliant medium ruby color introduce a pleasant strawberry, cherry and damp forest floor aroma. Flavors of dark cherry and raw cranberry attack the palate and linger on a tart long finish with dusty tannins. This wine is maybe a little unbalanced on the tart side, but is very enjoyable. Acidity and tannin will hold this wine to at least 2020.

Floral and strawberry on the nose. Fruit is in the background in favor of acidity early on, but comes through with a nice finish. Felt like it started a little "thin", but definitely improved with a couple of hours of air. Last one. Wish I had a few more...

A deep royal ruby promising a richness that is delivered. Relatively limited production of 150 cases that offer darker flavors of black cherry, blueberry, and cola with a hint of licorice sweetness. Built for a long life.

Sunny January day = tasting around off North Valley (Willamette Valley) : Light in color and light in aromatic complexion, though quite pretty with some high tone fruit and nice soft soil driven berries. Very soft. Very mellow and elegant palate, with soft fruits on entry. Mellow again on the finish, though very smooth and seamless. Things get gritty and that's what lingers long after swallowing. Another nice wine that will age beautifully. 91+

2 Days in the Valley- Day 1 (Willamette Valley, OR) : Nose: Very fragrant and perfumed nose with tones of fresh picked berries, red fruits, cherries, spice tones, and some red florals. Very good depth as well and shows a more expressive side. Taste: Medium bodied with very good and refreshing medium+ acidity. The acidity is noticeable, but it isn't overpowering along with smooth and polished tones of red fruits, cherries, fresh picked berries, rhubarb, and some spice tones. Overall: …

At the winery tasting room. In the glass: Dark garnet, long legs. On the nose: A bit of skunk initially, blew off to dark cherries & spice. In the mouth: Medium mouth feel, concentrated flavors of cherries and spice, tiny bit of tart on the tongue, light tannin grip, light finish. Liked this one, but at $60 retail, just too much. Found all their selections to be at least 33% more expensive than the market for Oregon pinot.
