Stewed raspberry, red and black plum, cloves, great oak mouthfeel and flavor. Wonderfully fine tannins. A strong nose and a great medium+ length finish. Had this at Bencotto in San Diego. Paired beautifully with a truffle cream and sausage pasta.

Fantastic Tuscan. From the superb Titian “Man in Armour” painting on the label, to the plummy, cherry infused taste that only gets better as it airs. Elevated my grilled prime NY steak, lobster tail, portobellos and veg kabobs. Winner winner w surf n turf dinner

Decanted 1 Hour. Upon decanting nice rich purple hue w/red licorice aroma. Initial pour presents w/nose of figs & soft graphite w/full legs. Flavor of ripe plums, soft cherries w/exceptionally well-balanced finish. A consistently great wine. Entree Fettucine alfredo & broccoli.

Speaking to me day one. Singing day two. I love it. A little oak on the nose initially but blows off quickly revealing a classic Tuscan savory character. Medium body with a bounty of ripe fruits. Finish is grippy and mouthwatering. Drink now or hold.

First bitter cherries and earth on the nose, later more airy with tobacco. Theres as usual for this cuvee a lot going on the palate. Medium + intensity and finish, with Chianti structure bordering at being harsh. But also good sweet fruit. Not a shy wine but at 11 euros, this is as good as it gets.

Great wine, cherry and licorice on the palate. With a little green pepper, vegetal on the nose. Very smooth, will be drinking my second bottle within the year.

Mature, complex nose - leather, cherry, herbs, orange rind - followed by a medium bodied mouth filling palate impression. Nicely balancing acidity. It grew more interesting as it went to glasses 2 and 3.

A graceful older lady. Still with a spark! But lost her acidic tongue. Bricking brown. Brings back memories of a hot Tuscan evening. The wine's essential structure is still present. Cigar box flavour. The wine looks tawny colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. But well and truly alive and well but drink now

Opaque, black as a blackcurrant. Assertive nose of balsamic, sour cherries, smoke, roast meat. On the palate, quite acidic, quite tannic (Altogether: angular, challenging.) Medium bodied. Not sure what I think about this. One thing for sure: it needs food.

Første chianti i mange år, så er lidt usikker på hvad der skal menes. Flot farve der indikerede en drikkemoden alder. Svag men harmonisk duft. Svag men harmonisk smag. Svage taninner der forsvandt hurtigt. Kort eftersmag. Smagte klart bedre efter en times tid.

Dark red. Lots of black cherry, earth, mineral and spice. A lot more complexity then a bottle a few nights ago. Nice balanced cherry and earth flavour and a very nice young Sangiovese finish.

We had the wine in an Italian restaurant near Zurich / Switzerland: medium red colour, typical Sangiovese flavor, well balanced acidity and blackberry, ready and pleasant to drink. Good value for the money.

Clear medium red. Fruit driven, dark cherry, blackberry nose. Develops over a couple of hours and shows a little earthuness. There is plenty of sangio fruit and the mis weight flavours should devlop nicely.

Meilleur que la dernière fois. Nez très classique de mûres, violette et épices. L'acidité est bien présente en bouche mais le vin est plus accessible que la dernière fois, un peu plus enrobé. Très bon.

Fermer à l'ouverture. Les premières gorgées était très assèchantes mais après un bon coupe de carafe, les saveurs sont apparues, le côté assèchant est disparu. Assez léger, mais une belle finesse.

Bu en format magnum. Beau Chianti bien structuré, très agréable à boire, matière intéressante. Cependant, le vin a souffert d'être bu après plusieurs bouteilles lors d'une soirée haute en couleur!

The Italian Wine Masters (Hilton, 1335 Avenue of the Americas, New York) : The nose showed animal musk and dusty black cherry. On the palate, I found vibrant strawberry fruit, spice and earthy minerals. This wine is well structured and has great balance. It was a pleasure to drink.
