This is so dense, it's almost like port. Wonderful PX and great value

Intense nose with fig paste, raisin, prune, toasted almond, hazelnut, caramel then hints of tobacco leaf and cigar. In the mouth is dry wiht medium + acidity, full bodied and high alcohol, warm with a good weight on the tongue, opens with walnut, almond, toasted hazelnut then raisin, spirit soaked prune then hints of smoke on retronasal. Average length.

Dark amber, quite a bit of sediment. On the nose it's nutty with a hint of dates and orange. Tastes like caramel. Aftertaste of hazelnut.

Tío Pepe Fino en Rama – Saca 2019. Six years later, no big changes – still the same salty, nutty spirit.

91 Muy buen vino. Caoba anaranjado. Nariz de frutos secos tostados, avellanas. Fondo de barnices. En boca es fresco, salino. Muy seco. Fruta en salazón. Buen final. Es amable, poco complejo, pero un verdadero chollo a su precio de 10 euros.

Thin and acidic; it tastes more like a cheap Amontillado. Very little depth of flavor.

Oloroso follows a purely oxidative aging process. It is fortified to 17% ABV at the start, preventing flor formation and allowing the wine to mature in American oak casks, concentrating flavors and developing deep aromas of walnut, dried fig, leather, and spice.

Great, rich flavour. Raisins for days. Long evolution.

BTG in Madrid’s La Bien Aparecida - nice billowing fresh tree nut oil aroma - medium bodied- bone dry - mild salinity- useful stretched table utility

BTG from list at La Bien Aparecida in Madrid to accompany their lovely version of cheesecake and it was as noted below by so many and not unexpectedly as a 30 años PX an uber concentrated complex syrupy elixir which went well with my cheescake and my wife’s citrus based dessert and then with my espressos and then alone too. Raisons, coffee, toffee, etc. and enough salinity and tartness to keep it all focused and coherent on the palate. Bravo

Super thick and deep colour, reminds me of lab-bottled bromine. This visual even makes me want to call out iodine on the nose. Smell of passion fruit, chocolate-covered dried orange, and dates. There are roasted nuts, figs, sesame oil, milk chocolate. Vanilla, cloves, and cinnamon. Machine oil, but in the nicest way. Amber colour. Nose is rich, generous, nutty, with notes of sea spray, meat stock and coffee. Mouthfeel is bone dry, rich and generous, with notes of toasted hazelnuts, meat stock, coffee and iodine. Concentrated with a long finish. Nice and very typical oloroso. Good stuff!

Medium amber. Medium(+) aromas of caramel, orange peel, black tea, chocolate, black cherry, raisin, black sugar, honey, hazelnut, napa cabbage. Dry, med(+) body, med(+) acid, med alcohol, med(+) finish. Complex and well made. Balanced.

Fig, prune, raisin, nut, molasses. Lovely balance of intense sweetness with acidity. Smooth in texture (not grainy like some PX). Long saline finish. Heart-warming and for sipping by the glass. But I do find a second glass is too much sweet richness.

Very good; though my favorite from the standard GB lineup is the Tio Pepe en Rama.

Nose: Parsley stalks, beach, yeast, bread. Palate: Soft entry but with a very present acidity. Lemon and vegetal notes.

Deep brown with a chartreuse rim. Figs, raisins, dried lime zest, dark chocolate, coffee, smoke, brown sugar, molasses, very old wood varnish. Lusciously sweet, full body, medium acidity, low fortified alcohol.

Does exactly what it says on the tin... this isn't any longer my favourite style of dessert wine, but if you need a wine for chocolate mousse then this is a good choice.

Appearance pale brown Nose of sweet almond extract, toffee, nectarine. Palate surprising dry alongside such a sweet nose. Nonetheless very balanced.

Just the thing. A hint of saline, some nuttiness, lovely oxidative nose. Paired very well with Nepalese food and Fishermans Friends II. I think in the past i've been guilty of leaving this too long - will aim to drink up over the next few days.

Light golden yellow hue. Amazing nose with notes of hazelnuts, almonds, sea spray, dried fruit and overripe apples. Mouthfeel is full bodied, rich and generous, with fresh acidity and notes of almonds, hazelnuts, sea spray, dried fruit, red apples and with a pleasant saltiness. This is really an amazing fino, rich and with lots of character and a long aftertaste.

Lovely little apero while cooking - freshness, nuttiness. One thing I love about Christmas is sharing this.

Starbright lemon in the glass, pronounced aromas and flavors, yeasty nose with almond nuttiness, palate is bone dry and complex, acidity is high, almond paste, bread, pastries, green apple, medium bodied, finish that doesn’t stop.

From glass. Dangerously easy-drinking! Mild and yes, sweeter roasted nuts, sandalwood - but not a syrup. Simple and yum. Nice.

Darker amber than I expected, looks like a sherried Scotch. 100 % PF here. Very dry and almost a tad tannic. Almonds, walnuts, and dried fruits. Not a shy beverage. Makes itself known. Good, but I much preferred the amontillado.

This is an extremely well composed wine that manages to combine potency and restraint with perfect synergy. Gorgeous marine minerality with some bruised apple carried with a wonderfully light touch. On the finish there is a lovely frangipani creaminess that coats the palate beautifully . It’s hard to imagine anything other than sherry delivering such good QPR at £15.

This bottle was from a 1997 purchase so approximate age was 55 years. Classc PX nose. motor oil texture, great sweetnes with all of the complexities you would expect. Opened and drank this over 2 months with no degradation, in fact I would suggest that it drank best after being open a few weeks. Solid 93 points

It's a beautiful translucent amber color with walnut, toffee, dried fig, red apple skin, old oak, leather, subtle warm spice and orange marmalade aromas. On the palate it's medium-bodied and dry with a very appealing oily texture, tangy acidity, and subtly tannic. It shows dried fig, baked apple, dried peach, toasted nuts, orange marmalade, lemon peel, a hint of vanilla flavors and something vaguely herbal that reminds me of amaro. "Running" Club Rich Man / Poor Man dinner (The leafy West London suburbs) : Light, nutty - I struggle to give good notes to sherry but this is just delicious. Seemed more digestible than the Peter Sisseck fino I'd tasted last weekend, although that may be down to the smaller size of pour. Incredible value and pleasingly gentle in alcohol at 15% abv.
